SPECial Teachers Resources in the Arts

A major component of the Cultural Council's Arts Learning Program, since 1968, SPECTRA collaborates with professional artists and schools to provide thousands of students in Santa Cruz County with direct access to artists' standards-aligned programs in dance, theater, music, language, and visual arts.

SPECTRA Artists align their work with the California Standards for Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) while accommodating for the unique needs of each class.  Longer residencies are encouraged to offer more in depth inclusion of the standards.
