Advocacy

To cotninue to inform our elected officials about the value of the arts and the role the Cultural Council plays in serving you, grantees are required to send a thank-you letter to their Mayor, County Supervisors, and Council members. It is important that our government representatives know that you appreciate their efforts and the type of activities their investment supports. We also encourage you to add your legislators to your organization's e-mailing list so they will continue to be informed about arts activities in their districts.

You may write your own personal letter or use the electronic version found on our advocacy page. If write your own letter, you will find email addresses and fax numbers (where available) to which you can send it. Please encourage your Board members to participate. We hope we can count on you as we build toward a larger arts advocacy effort within Santa Cruz County. Thank you.
