An artist living in Santa Cruz , Athena attended the San Francisco Art Institute, where she studied painting. She also does performance, installation and work with photography and digital imagery. With her master's degree in psychology, she created a model for interpreting art from an integrated theoretical approach: including sociology, art history, cognitive and psychoanalytic theory. Athena is currently applying for grants for a research project that develops an educational tool for interpreting art in museums.
