Service Highlight: FMCI Summer Meals Program for Families

Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County served breakfast and lunch to families at the Franklin-McKinley Children’s Initiative Community Center as part of its free summer meals program. Offered daily throughout the summer with no registration required, the program ensures that families in the neighborhood have access to nutritious meals in a welcoming environment. The Franklin-McKinley Children’s Initiative (FMCI) is dedicated to supporting the well-being and development of local children and youth through programs that promote education, health, and community engagement. Aligned with Catholic Charities’ broader mission to empower individuals and families in need, FMCI strives to create safe, nurturing spaces where young people can thrive and build a foundation for a brighter future. By sharing meals together, the program also strengthens community bonds, fostering connections that enrich and support everyone involved.
