Board Member Profile: Vince Sunzeri

Vince Sunzeri

Board Member Vince Sunzeri spoke during the dedication of the Rotary Mobile Medical Clinic in October.

What was your initial connection to Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County?

Through my efforts to launch the Rotary Mobile Medical Clinic (RMMC), I had the privilege of working with then-CEO Greg Kepferle and many leaders within Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County (CCSCC). We were so impressed with the organization that we ultimately chose CCSCC as the managing partner of the Mobile Medical Clinic.

What is your personal mission of giving back and what issues are you passionate about?

Giving back through time, talent, and treasure to those in need is deeply important to me. Having grown up in one of San Jose’s poorer neighborhoods and been fortunate to achieve success in my career, I find great fulfillment in supporting those who are striving to improve their lives. The mission of providing social services while advocating for social justice resonates with me on a profound level.

Why would you encourage others to support Catholic Charities and get involved in our mission?

The Bay Area is home to many outstanding nonprofits addressing a wide range of needs. I’ve been fortunate to work with and serve on the boards of several. What sets CCSCC apart for me is its extensive reach, deep community trust, organizational stability, and the lasting impact it creates.

Vince is a current member of CCSCC Board of Directors (since July 2024), serves on the Membership Committee of our Board, and is a member of our Caritas Society. His additional community work includes serving on the Board for Symphony San Jose, and he previously served for ten years as Trustee and Board Chair for the City of San Jose Police & Fire Retirement Board. He is a past President of the Rotary Club of San Jose Foundation and a Board member for the Rotary Club of San Jose. He works as a Senior Vice President and Certified Private Wealth Advisor at Morgan Stanley.
