A message from our CEO, Don Taylor.
H.R. 1 Statement: Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County is deeply concerned about the passage of H.R. 1—the “Big Beautiful Bill.” This legislation threatens to harm our most vulnerable neighbors by cutting vital social services like food aid, housing support, and healthcare access.
These services are lifelines for families, seniors and those experiencing poverty even though many are working more than one job to try to stay housed and put food on their table due to the high cost of living here in Silicon Valley.
As we navigate the impact of these changes, Catholic Charities will continue to support and remain a safe place for all individuals in our communities and help change lives for good - one family at a time.
