Foundation Spotlight: Sobrato Family Foundation

Representing our agency in the processional of nonprofits at the event were: Robert Yabes, Program Director, Immigration Legal Services; Araceli Gonzales, Division Director, Emergency Programs & Housing Services; Sharon Miller, Director, Cathedral Social Ministries; and América Gomez, Managing Director, CORAL Extended Learning/After-school Program.

For more than 30 years, the Sobrato family and Sobrato Family Foundation have supported Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County’s mission through active participation in the agency’s work and leadership, as well as generous gifts to support our life-changing work to disrupt poverty in Silicon Valley.

Catholic Charities was proud to be a part of the Arbol de La Vida event on May 13, celebrating the good works of the Sobrato Family and the investment and impact they have made to East San Jose families. We are grateful for the Sobrato Family’s continued support, including challenge dollars to excite and engage our donors to support our mission. Our recent Sobrato Challenge Match (July 2022 – June 2023) secured $250,000 in matched funds and helped us raise additional dollars for our programs. Thank you, Sobrato Family Foundation!
